01 Does my electrical panel need an upgrade for an EV charger?
It depends on your current panel capacity. Most homes in Monument have 100A or 200A panels. A Level 2 charger draws 40A, which requires a dedicated 50A circuit. If your panel is already near capacity, we may need to upgrade it first. We check this during our free on-site assessment - before you pay anything.
02 Do I need a permit to install an EV charger in El Paso County?
Yes. PPRBD requires an electrical permit for any new 240V circuit. We handle the entire permit process - application, inspection scheduling, and final sign-off. The permit fee (typically $75-$150) is included in our quote.
03 How long does EV charger installation take?
Most installations take 2-4 hours. If a panel upgrade is needed, add half a day. We typically schedule within 48 hours of your approved quote, so you could be charging at home this week.
04 Which EV charger brands do you install?
All of them. Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, JuiceBox, Wallbox Pulsar Plus, Emporia, Grizzl-E, and more. We're Tesla Certified, which means wholesale pricing on Wall Connectors.
05 How much does it cost to install an EV charger in Colorado?
Typical range is $800-$3,000 installed (hardware + labor). Final price depends on charger model, distance from your panel, and whether the panel needs work. Free on-site assessment — we confirm scope and price before you commit.
06 Any rebates or incentives I should know about?
Rebates and tax credits change often, and eligibility depends on your utility, charger model, and the panel work involved. When we quote your job, we check what is currently available — federal credits, Colorado state programs, and your utility's residential EV rebate — and help with the paperwork at no extra charge.
07 Can I install an EV charger myself?
Colorado requires a licensed electrician for any 240V circuit installation. Improper wiring can void your charger warranty, fail inspection, and create fire risk. Our license (EC.0102546) and insurance protect you.
